Shania Twain reveals that Oprah Winfrey and Shania Twain had a terrible dinner.

Shania Twain said that she enjoyed a meal with Oprah Winfrey It was awkward to discuss religion.

The 57-year old Canada-born country singer spoke out on the Table Manners podcast hosted Jennie and Lennie Warse. She recalled one of her most memorable dinners with Lennie Ware (68), during an interview.

Twain commented, after noting that they had eaten at a restaurant together.

She said, “But when we started talking about religion it all went sour.”

“So, I said, let’s stop talking about religion,” the “You’re Still The One” singer continued.

Twain said that Winfrey is “quite religion.” Twain, 37, answered Ware’s question about her religious beliefs. She explained that she wasn’t religious in the traditional sense of being dedicated to one religion. I am much more spiritual than that.” 

She continued, “I’m an seeker.” 

Ware stated, “But at the very least, you knew to stop it right then.” 

Twain agreed. “You all know what everyone says: ‘Never discuss politics or religion.’

The 5-times-awarded winner stated that “it just wasn’t debateable.” Grammy Award Winner declared. “There was no place for debate. And I like to debate. Canadians love to debate everything. So, I’m like, “OK, I’m changing the subject.”

Winfrey was a Baptist child and has said that she is a Christian. In a 2015 interview, Winfrey stated that although she prays every evening, she doesn’t consider herself a traditionalist because she doesn’t go to church every Sunday.

Ware had brought up the topic by asking about Twain’s most memorable meals in the 1990s. But the singer didn’t provide any specific dates.

Twain was a frequent guest on Winfrey’s “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, which she hosted many times. The singer gave her first interview in five years to host Oprah Winfrey in May 2011. She spoke about the difficult breakup of her marriage with Robert “Mutt” Lange.

She revealed that she was also diagnosed with Lyme disease, dysphonia and a disorder that affected the vocal chords, which resulted her having a weaker singing voice.

Twain launched her six-episode Docuseries, “Why Not?” on May 8, 2011. Shania Twain and Twain on Winfrey’s Own Network.

Twain was on Table Manners to promote her single “Waking Up Dreaming”This is her first song in five years. 

She had previously revealed that she was working on her sixth studio album. This will be her first solo album after 2017’s “Now”.
