Celebrities performed their “Hype Boys” choreography via social media this summer, making HYBE’s K-pop group NewJeans a big hit.

Three clips featuring three of the most popular songs were viralized on October 18 by the military personnel.

The cover featured the talents and skills of the stars, and has been viewed millions of times across social media platforms.

K-Pop fans were stunned to see their idols performing the dance cover for military personnel.

The clips feature SF9‘s oldest member Inseong and members of ONF E-Tion and J-US, who enlisted with their fellow Korean bandmates in December 2021. As well as Spectrum’s Jongchan (dancer) and Kim Namwook (dancer), the clips feature other idols.

The ensemble performed live for the Gyeryong World Military Culture Expo over the past few weeks.

They’ve also performed on songs like ONF’s SF9 song “Play Hard” as well as Youngbin’s cover BLACKPINK song “DDU-DU DDU–DU.”

While some members of SF9 are currently in the military, other members released the mini-album The Wave Of9 as part of a summer return. It included the title track and music video “Scream”.

NewJeans is preparing for a return in December.
