La Ligasides SevillaValencia and Villarreal demanded a public apology by Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
Spanish publication El ConfidencialA series of WhatsApp messages, allegedly sent out by Rubiales and slamming the three clubs, were released.
El Confidencial’s report included messages that claimed Rubiales told a family member that he hoped Sevilla lost their fixture against Real MadridDuring the 2020 match
“Let’s see if we can wipe the floor with them, they are the teams I like least bar one out of all of them,” the message read.
Replying to his father, who said he disliked Sevilla and Valencia, Rubiales added: “For me, in this order, it is Villarreal, Sevilla and Valencia.
