ScienceAlert: A Record Number Of Children Did Not Get Vaccinated Against the Measles in 2021

In 2021, a record number of almost 40 million children in the world were without a measles vaccine. According to a new reportWednesday’s results showed that immunization levels have not recovered from disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research was published jointly by the World Health OrganizationThe World Health Organization (WHO), and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC) both stated that the decline in the number of cases was a significant setback in the fight against the deadly disease.

The report shows that 25 million children missed their first dose, while 14.7 millions missed their second.
