San Francisco Supervisor who wants the Blue Angels to be banned complains about outside reporting of city politics

San Francisco City Council member suggested that the Blue Angels be banned from the city’s airspaceSunday’s protest was directed at outside criticism of the city policies and practices.

Dean Preston, District 5 Supervisor, is a self-described “supervisor”. Democratic socialist, asked why so many outside San Francisco – with no connection to the Bay Area – are “so focused on San Francisco housing policy and constantly attacking SF tenants, BIPOC residents, and progressive local elected officials? It’s really strange.”

Many people commented on the high cost and lack of housing in San Francisco. This issue can be spread to other cities and jurisdictions.

One Twitter user wrote, “Genuine Answer: SF is ground zero in the US housing shortage. And elected officials there continue making excuses to build enough housing to keep pace with economic growth.”

“No one else wants their electeds getting the exact same idea,” he stated.

Preston was asked by another user on Twitter to provide actual citations for people “attacking SF residents (and) BIPOC citizens.”

He stated that he was critical of “progressive elected officials” because his (your) policies made SF and coastal CA too expensive for residents with low or middle income.

Giselle Hale, Redwood City Mayor, also spoke out, noting that their cities are linked by their residents and workers.

“Dean, Greetings from Redwood City where we make housing. Your borders are porous. Preston was retweeted by Preston that she had mentioned that my residents live in your City, and that of your workers in mine. “We share the same transit system. We’re a Peninsula, not an island.”

Fox News Digital has reached Preston’s office to request comment.

San Francisco, despite all the criticisms, is a city that served as a test ground for policies that were later adopted elsewhere, including by the U.S. government.

Former San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon – who is now the District attorney of Los Angeles County – co-authored Prop 47, a controversial bill that critics say Criminal activity has increased.California.

After a recall campaign centered around his handling of rising crimes in the city, San Francisco voters elected Chesa Boudin as District Attorney.

Boudin was often compared with other progressive district attorneys. Steve Mulroy, Memphis’ top prosecutor, said last month to Fox News that some progressive district lawyers “may have damaged the brand” and was learning from their mistakes.

Furthermore, many prominent politicians got their start in San Francisco before moving on to higher – and more influential – office. They include Nancy Pelosi (House Speaker), and Kamala Harris (Vice President). Senator Dianne Feinstein and Vice President Kamala Hariri are two examples. Governor Gavin Newsom has been openly mentioned as a possible presidential candidate.

In 2008, after the California Supreme court deemed the state’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional, then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom famously gloated before the cameras: “As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation. It’s inevitable. This door’s wide open now. It’s going to happen. It will happen, regardless of whether you like it.
