San Francisco: A naked man was arrested for allegedly flooding apartments.

A man from San Francisco was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of allegedly trying to steal money. Vandalizing a 29-story apartment towerTenants are required to evacuate flood waters by opening the fire hose valve.

100 Van Ness was a call for firefighters in The Civic Center neighbourhoodAt 5:30 a.m., there was a report of a fire alarm. According to reports, a naked man was found next to a pipe which was gushing with water. 

FOX 2 San Francisco identified Michael Nien as the suspect. He was a resident at the high-rise. Residents claim that he opened a fire-hose valve on the 11th Floor, causing high pressure floods throughout the building.

On Tuesday, the suspect was charged with felony vandalism as well as resisting arrest. He was later arrested. San Francisco County Jail

Pictures taken Tuesday showed massive holes in the wall of the building due to the floods.

According to reports, tenants were frustrated by the incident that rendered their elevators inoperable. Residents will now need to go up and down 29 flights before elevators are fixed.

FOX 2 San Francisco resident Emily Igler said that water was “gushing out”. “It looked like a huge spray of water that was six feet tall, coming down tenft from the water main.” 

The resident stated that they would not be staying there. “Our bedrooms are squishy, and there’s water everywhere.”

The flooding rendered elevators inoperable, forcing tenants to walk up and down as many as 29 flights of stairs.
