Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro vs. Sony WF-1000XM4

Samsung has been competing for the crown of wireless earbuds for many years. Sony, however, is still in the lead as the most highly praised pair. The gap between the two is closing with the right improvements. But, there are some things you should consider before choosing one over another.

Both companies use similar design principles in the construction of their earbuds. Both pairs are available in matte finishes. Each pair also has three pairs of ear tips so that you can find the perfect fit. They won’t slip, but Samsung has the edge in ruggedness. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro IPX7 protection. The IPX7 protection. WF-1000XM4It’s only IPX4, so they are not ideal for running or intense workouts.

Sony’s foam tips are more secure than the ones Samsung uses. This is because the Sony buds are more bulky than Samsung’s. Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are designed to shed some of the weight from their predecessors.

The same applies to their charging cases. Samsung has used a design from the Galaxy Buds Live to create its own charging case. It’s small, portable, and supports wireless charging. Protective cases are easy to move from one case to the other.
