Samsung describes ‘Maintenance Mode’ as a feature that hides your information during repairs

Samsung’s global rollout has begun for Maintenance Mode. This feature is designed to protect your most personal information.

According to Samsung’s official Post(opens new tab)As we move into 2023, Maintenance mode will be added to selected Galaxy models. This new mode gives users the ability to have peace of mind in case their device has to be repaired. You will be able to block access from others to your private information like your photos, contacts, and texts.

Users must navigate to Maintenance Mode in order to activate it. Settings > Battery and device care > Maintenance Mode Then, restart the device. This will prevent access to your personal information, photos and text messages.
