Sally Field’s worst kiss was with Burt Reynolds, her longtime boyfriend: “A lot of drooling”

Sally Field, a two-time Academy Award nominee, revealed her least favorite onscreen kisser through her An illustrious career in acting.Burt Reynolds, the American sex symbol was his real name.

During an appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on Thursday, Field shared some of the good and the bad of the Hollywood kissing scene, including naming her favorite and least favorite on-screen kissers.

Field (Flying Nun, “Norma Rae”) stated that Reynolds was her least favorite.

“Should you really name names?” “This is going be a shocker. So hold on folks,” she stated, before the reveal. “It’s Burt Reynolds.”

The audience gasped immediately and responded with a “Really?” The host responded with a “Really?”

Guest star Idina Menzel(“Frozen,” or “Enchanted”) quickly burst into laughter.

Reynolds and Field starred together in 1977’s “Smokey And The Bandit,” a road action comedy film in which the Bandit (Reynolds) picks up hitchhiking bride-to-be Carrie (Field). The film features the two actors. Spark romanceThey also shared several kissing scenes on-screen.

“Weren’t you dating at the time?” Cohen asked Cohen about their four-year relationship, which spanned 1976 to 1980.

Field stated, “It was just something he didn’t do very well.” 

“Isn’t that something,” Cohen added nodding his head. 

After a brief pause, Field said she could provide details, but brushed her own suggestion off saying, “You probably don’t want to hear it.”

The host interrupted, “I kinda do,” “The tongue? The tongue? He asked.

Field modestly summarized this problem as “too much drool.”

“No, we’re not totally involved [with the kiss]It was just a lot more drooling,” she stated.

Cohen laughed and said, “Wow, alright,” somewhat shockingly.

He added, “Thanks for sharing, Sally.” “I truly appreciate it.

Field shared her favorite on-screen kiss with James Garner, a 1985 rom-com called “Murphy’s Romance” earlier in Thursday’s broadcast.

Reynolds and Field were together for four years. Never married. The relationship happened between Field’s marriages to Steven Craig, 1968 to 1973, and later Alan Greisman, 1984 to 1994.

Before Reynold’s passing in 2018, he said Field was still the love of his life. 

“My memories of Burt will never go out of my mind.” Field stated that he will always be in my life and my heart for as long as he lives.

He was 82.
