Russia Army would be ‘anihilated’ if Putin uses nuke: EU Chief

  • According to the EU’s tio diplomat, Russia’s army would be “annihilated,” if Putin used a nuclear weapon in Ukraine.

According to top EU figures, President Vladimir Putin’s Army would be “annihilated” by a non-nuclear West military response if he used a nuclear weapon in Ukraine.

Putin and other Kremlin officials made reference to Russia’s nuclear stockpile when warning the West not to invade Ukraine.

Putin made reference to his nuclear stockpile on September 21st, as he announced his mobilization for reservists to combat. Russia would use “all the means at our disposal”If the country’s territorial integrity were at risk. He said, “This isn’t a bluff.” 

Borrell referred to this on Thursday and said that Putin is saying that he isn’t bluffing. He can’t afford to bluff.”

Ukraine’s supporters — NATO, the EU and the US — “are not bluffing either,” Borrell said. 

“And any nuclear strike against Ukraine will produce an answer. He predicted that Russia would not be given a nuclear answer but that it would provide a very powerful military response.

Borrell is an EU member and does not have control over any military force.

In his role, he represents NATO member states and France, a nuclear-power, along with 21 of NATO’s thirty members. participated in other aspects of Western response to invasion.

Officials in the United States have not seen any indications that Russia is actively planning to use nuclear weapons. Insider’s John Haltiwanger, and Charles R. Davis reported the story. Strategists warn that responding to nuclear attack with more nukes could lead to an escalating conflict and potentially world-ending consequences.

Borrell stated that the West must show “complete determination” to resist Russia’s aggression. “This is a critical moment in history. We have to show our unity and strength, as well as our determination. Complete determination,” he said. 

He stressed that the West should not waver in its support of Ukraine and should continue to seek diplomatic solutions when they are possible.
