Rescuers Find Tiny Puppy Crossing Busy Road and Know What To Do

Lauren Botticelli, dog rescuer from Mexico, was driving on Mexico’s streets when she noticed a little boy approaching a busy road. Her heart nearly stopped.

A black puppy was about to enter oncoming traffic.

“He was on the side of a very busy street full of large trucks and speeding cars and was thinking of crossing when we drove by and saw him,” Botticelli told The Dodo. “Our entire van saw him at almost the same time … We all looked at each other and knew. I was driving and immediately pulled over.”

Although the rescuers had never seen the dog before, he knew right away that they would be there for him.

“He happily ran over to my arms,” Botticelli said.

Botticelli observed a rope that had been cut or chewed and was fastened around the puppy’s neck. Botticelli searched everywhere for his owner, but was unsuccessful. Binx was the puppy’s name at the time. He was happy to jump in the car with Botticelli’s group and made it to America where The Animal Pad began to find him a foster family.

Botticelli says that he is the best dog ever since then. “Almost as if he realized he had been saved and was thankful.”

Binx’s rescue can be seen here:

Binx currently lives at home in Los Angeles with his foster mother. His playful and good-natured personality continues to shine.

“His foster mom says he’s very smart,” Botticelli said. “He loves learning new commands and is eager to please. He’s a social butterfly, and his time on the street has made him fearless. He loves the company of other dogs, too!”

Binx will be eligible to adopt after a few weeks of foster care. He will then find his forever family.

Binx was once left to fend on his own, but now there will always be someone to watch out for him.
