Report: Roger Stone Obtains a Second Pardon from Trump Following the Capitol Riot

Roger Stone requested a second pardon by former President Donald Trump following the Capitol riot. The New York Times reported Tuesday.

According to texts seen by the outlet, Stone — a former adviser to Trump — approached David Schoen, an attorney who represented Trump in his second impeachment trial, following the events of January 6, 2021.

Per the outlet, Stone asked Schoen if he could “plug” his request to Trump for a pardon. Stone stated to Schoen that “at this point, he’d be happy [plug] his request for a pardon]” in reference to Kerik. Bernard KerikA former New York City police chief who Trump pardoned.

In 2010, Kerik was sentenced for four years in prison after pleading guilty eight times to felony charges including dodging taxes, making false statements and giving false statements while being vetted as chief of the Department of Homeland Security.

Stone stated, per The Times: “He’s already pardoned us both so he would not take any heat for that whatsoever.”

According to the outlet, he also said that Schoen would face “mass prosecutions” after the Capitol riot. Schoen replied that Trump could be impeached only twice if he was allowed to do so.

The text messages were reported a day after CNN aired new footage. Stone called for violence in the days before the 2020 election.

Stone can be heard yelling to his friends during a car ride, “Fuck the Voting! Let’s Get Right to the Violence!” “Shoot to kill, you see an Antifa — shoot to kill.”

Stone, for his part, has Claimed without substantiationHe is calling for violence in the video clip.
