Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind.,Former President Donald Trump may be a good candidate for 2024. However, he declined to endorse him, saying that he was more focused on “unpacking the disappointing midterm election results” of his party.
Banks, who is running as the majority whip for Republicans in Congress, made this statement during a Fox News Sunday interview. Bream asked the Republican what their plans were for their slimmer majority in the House and what his thoughts were on 2024.

Bream then pointed out that Trump-endorsed candidates were in Senate races are tightThey lost and now control the Senate.

Banks declined to endorse Trump for 2024 when he was asked.
“Look, Donald Trump was a very successful president for our country. I think he could become a very successful president for our country once again. He stated, “I’ll save your endorsement for the 2024 election.”
Many conservatives believe that Trump-endorsed candidates’ poor performance in tight races is an indication that the party must move on from the former President. Yet, the majority of Republican members have not spoken against Trump since Election Day.
