Transportation officials have announced a nine-day closure for the Ohio River bridge linking Indiana and Ohio. Kentucky.
The Interstate 64 eastbound lanes connect to New Albany, IndianaOfficials at Indiana’s transportation agency said that the Sherman Minton Bridge will shut down Nov. 28 to allow passengers to travel from Louisville, Kentucky, via Indiana.
Officials claim that the long-term renovation of the 59-year-old double decker bridge will add 30 years to its lifespan. Crews will be performing demolition work during the closure.
