Gamers can now enjoy both Android and cloud games on-the-go with the Razer Edge and Razeredge 5G.Â

It attaches to your Edge tablet and offers all the same benefits as the Edge tablet. Razer Kishi V2However, it has a 3.5mm audio connector and “HyperSense advanced–haptic feedback,” which means microswitches on the buttons and D pad for “tactical reaction and instantaneous activation.”
Razer Edge will come with 8GB of memory, 128GB storage, 2-way speakers, 2 digital microphones, and a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery. It weighs in at 263.8g and 400.8g with the controller. It measures 259.7 x 8.4.5 x 10.83mm. Razer Edge 5G will also have sub-6 and 5G support for streaming games from outside your home.Â
While most of these specifications are good, they’re not revolutionary for a smartphone. ROG Phone 6 ProWith its 12-18GB RAM and 700Hz touch sampling, it would be the best Razer Edge. But that costs more than twice as much as the Razer Edge and doesn’t have a gaming-centric interface; Razer’s device is more affordable — at least the Wi-Fi version is — and more specialized.Â
However, because the Razer will be streaming cloud-based games, it doesn’t necessarily require a lot RAM.Â
Right now, you can Reserve(opens in a new tabIf you are in the United States, the Razer Edge will be available to you at a cost of $400. The Razer Edge will be available from Verizon starting January 2023. The Razer Edge 5G will sell directly from Verizon and we don’t know how much it’ll cost.Â
Razer Edge retails at $400. Steam Deck(opens in a new tab. Despite being two different devices, it will be interesting to see how gamers respond to Edge due to its dependence on cloud gaming rather than built-in hardware.Â
