Queen Elizabeth ‘remained incredibly close’ to Prince Andrew ‘right up until her death,’ royal author claims

“She saw Andrew very, very regularly right up until her death,” Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Fox News Digital. “They remained very close, and she was very protective about him.”

The author recently wrote a book. “The New Royals”: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy, the Future of the Crown and the New Royals.She explains the legacy of the queen and the implications for those who are still in the House of Windsor. Nicholl said it was impossible to write her new book without examining the problems that have plagued Buckingham Palace.

She said, “Well, ofcourse, I covered Prince Andrew’s scandal.” “I wanted to know the real feelings of the queen. [whom many believed was]Her favorite son.”

Andrew, 62, was caught up in the scandalous tale of Jeffrey Epstein (an American businessman who had been a close friend). Andrew denied that he had sex in public with one of Epstein’s women.

Nicholl said, “My understanding is that she did quiz him.” He was asked about Epstein’s allegations and his relationship to Virginia Giuffre. Andrew assured her that he was innocent. He believed her. After all, he was her son. And she didn’t just believe him. He was her support.”

According to numerous palace insiders, Prince Andrew was "the queen's favorite son."

Andrew was stripped from his honorary military ranks in January amid controversy surrounding a lawsuit. Andrew was accused of having sex with an Epstein-supplied 17-year-old. The queen removed Andrew’s honorary leadership of known charities and patronages and barred him using the title “His royal Highness” in official settings.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed that Andrew made her have sex with him in 2001 when she turned 17. She claimed Epstein had taken her on private planes around the world to have sex in high-ranking men. She had also had sexual encounters at Andrew’s home in New York, London, and New York. Epstein died in jailHe was awaiting his trial on federal conspiracy and sex trafficking charges in August 2019. He was 66.

Andrew was asked to answer the allegations in a disastrous interview. After receiving scathing criticisms from the public, the duke declared that he was quitting public life.

A U.S. judge rejected the case in March 2012. sex abuse lawsuitAndrew was convicted of the crime three weeks after Giuffre’s attorneys had made a deal. The prince was to make a substantial donation to his accuser’s charity and declare that he never meant to malign her character.

In a letter to the judge from Giuffre’s attorney David Boies, a statement was included that said, in part, “Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights. Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”

The statement stated that Epstein had been trafficking “numbers of young girls” for many years.

Andrew’s scandal made headlines again earlier this month after he appeared in public. A procession to honor his motherEdinburgh. As he walked behind the queen’s casket with his siblings, a protestor yelled, “Andrew, you’re a sick old man.”
