Putin Long Rant from Close Ally, Complaining about ‘Lack Of Respect’

  • The President of Tajikistan was a close ally to Russia and appeared to berate Putin during an international summit.
  • Emomali Rahmon said that “we have history and culture, we love, and we want to get respected.”
  • Putin’s outburst is an indication that Putin’s influence might be decreasing.

The President of Tajikistan was a close ally to Russia and appeared to strongly criticize Vladimir Putin at a summit in Central Asia. He demanded that he be respected

Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik ruler since 1994, complained and appeared to scold an uncomfortable-looking Putin at a meeting at the Commonwealth Of Independent States Summit, a gathering of Central Asian states.

Rahmon stated, “Yes, although we are small nations and not 100-200million, but our history, culture, love, and desire to be respected. Rahmon stated, according to Mail Online

Rahmon stated that he doesn’t need anything, but just to be respected.

Rahmon continued his criticism by saying, “Why do we have to ask Russia to attend some miserable forum here in Tajikistan?”

We are not treated as strategic partners, but we do not want to be! It’s not a offense to us, but we want respect! The Mail quotes Rahmon as saying.

Rahmon, who has ruled Tajikistan from 1994 to 1994, complained about the treatment of African nations and asked Putin for more investment from Russia.

According to the New Voice of UkraineRahmon told Putin, too, not to treat central Asian nations “as the ex-Soviet Union.”

The outburst was witnessed by leaders from Azerbaijan,  Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, and lasted for seven minutes, per the Mail Online.

Surprising public criticism from India’s leader led to the incident. Putin has another ally Ukraine was invaded by Russia.

At the September summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Modi, India’s Prime Minister, stated to Putin that “now isn’t the time for war.”

Modi said to Putin that he knew today’s era was not one of war. He had spoken to him on the telephone about this. According to Reuters.

Modi’s comments were made after an acknowledgment by Putin stated that even China – Russia’s closest ally – had “questions” and “concerns” regarding the invasion of Ukraine.

The elite of Putin’s government is also creating opposition in Russia.

Yevgenia Albats (editor of Russian-language magazine News Times) told last week The GuardianThe conduct of the war against Ukraine was causing discontent among Kremlin officials.

The Washington Post also reportedAccording to information obtained from the US intelligence, one of Putin’s closest friends had confronted Putin over his handling of the conflict in Ukraine.
