Animals left behind must go through what is impossible. Rescuers found Kiva, a puppy named Kiva on the streets. Kiva was severely malnourished and covered in mange. Her fragile skin was so flaky and her small frame could barely support her. She required medical attention and plenty of nutritious food.

Kiva was lucky enough to receive the help that she needed. Kiva was soon adopted by a loving family. Although she still had a long road ahead, the love and support that surround her made it all worthwhile. The family concentrated on her physical health but they weren’t as prepared for the emotional attachment Kiva was about to form.

The puppy was terrified of being left alone again. In fact, her fear was so crippling that she didn’t let her humans out of her sight. Although it was sweet, her family was worried about her attachment to them. She would not be able to do daily activities such as going to work or going on vacation without her parents’ approval.
