Erik ten Hag says he will “deal with” Cristiano Ronaldo after his early exit in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Ronaldo was an unused substitute as his United team-mates swept aside Antonio Conte’s side on Wednesday night, thanks to goals from Fred and Bruno Fernandes.
After failing to reach the pitch, the Portugal international walked down the tunnel prior to the full-time whistle.
Asked about Ronaldo’s hasty exit, Erik ten Hag told Amazon: “I have seen him (leaving), I didn’t speak to him after. I’ll deal with it tomorrow.”
The Dutchman added in his press conference: “I want to get focus on this team, it was a magnificent performance from all 11 players. It was also a performance by the subs. A squad performance.”
