Patrick Vieira, Crystal Place manager, says that taking the knee is a reminder of football’s anti-discrimination policy as his team prepares for their match against Leeds United.
Premier League players will be kneeling in matches between October 8-16 as part of No Room For Racism campaign against discrimination.
Vieira said: “It is always important to remind ourselves, to remind everyone, that we are against any kind of discrimination and taking the knee shows even if we don’t do it every week, the issue is still there and we are not forgetting it is an important topic that we all have to deal with it and try to improve our society.”
