People Applaud a Video Demonstrating the Realities of Traveling with a Dog

How many dog owners can totally relate to the T-shirts and coffee cups that say, “I’m not going if I can’t bring my dog”? Although you can board or hire a dog sitter for your pet, it is not always possible to bring your furry companion along. It is an enjoyable experience to travel with your dog, since they are part and parcel of the family. But what if you don’t feel like taking your dog along on a flight?

@Jaclynspringer posted this video to show the realities of traveling with pets. Anyone who has ever traveled with a dog can relate to this!

There’s some serious pet love there! Instead of spending an hour and a quarter flying, you can drive for seven hours so that your dog can travel along with you. Flying a dog can cost between $50 and $500. Sometimes it is cheaper to just load them up in their car and drive the open roads. You do what you gotta do, and many pet owners don’t feel comfortable having their baby ride in the luggage compartment.

This sentiment is shared by many owners, according to the comments. A TikTok user named @saltlifegirl76 said, “Just did this yesterday! 12-hour travel- all for the puppy.” Another user named @kellyvolden commented, “Did a 17-hour drive to take the dog at Thanksgiving.”

These safety trips are great for dogs traveling because so many pets will be returning home to spend the holidays with their families.
