Pelosi’s Home was invaded by a ‘Assaulted Husband’, Her Office says

  • According to Nancy Pelosi’s office, someone broke into Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco house early Friday morning.
  • Pelosi was away at the time, while her husband was being “violently attacked,” according to the office.
  • Paul Pelosi was transported to the hospital. He is expected make a full recovery. 

The House speaker said that an unknown person entered Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco residence early Friday morning and “violently attacked” her husband. 

Pelosi’s office stated that the assailant was in custody and that the motive for the attack is being investigated. She also said that Paul, her husband, was taken to the hospital where he is receiving excellent medical treatment and is expected to make a complete recovery.

It is unclear at this time what the extent of his injuries are. Pelosi’s Office stated that she wasn’t in San Francisco at the time.

The office said that the Speaker and her family were grateful for the assistance of first responders and medical professionals and requested privacy. 

Vandals previously attacked the Pelosi home. In January 2021Also vandalized was the home of former-Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell. Following the Capitol riot of January 6th and the 2017 congressional ball practice shooting, Washington’s safety has been a priority. According to the Capitol Police, threats to legislators are increasing at an ever-increasing rate. Officers responsible for protecting legislators are already larger than many cities’ police department. Currently, there are over 900 field offices across the country.A move that is similar to how Secret Service operates.

The couple married in 1963, and they have five children. Pelosi represented San Francisco in the House for many decades, and rose to become Speaker twice. 

Paul Pelosi,  a venture capitalist, has been in the news frequently this year Because of his extensive stock trades. He was unable to attend negotiations regarding whether members of Congress or their spouses would be able to trade shares in individual companies. He was a member of Congress earlier in the summer. SentencedAfter pleading guilty to driving under influence, the defendant was sentenced to five-days in prison and three-year probation.
