Paul Pelosi’s attacker wanted to break Nancy Pelosi’s kneecaps: Feds

  • Paul Pelosi was attacked by an unknown attacker who claimed he wanted Nancy Pelosi’s kneecaps to be broken when he broke in to her home. 
  • Monday’s Department of Justice charges the man with attempted kidnapping and assault. 
  • The suspect beat Paul Pelosi with the hammer during Friday’s break-in. 

Federal prosecutors claim that the man accused of attacking Nancy Pelosi’s husband at their home said he wanted to break Nancy Pelosi’s kneecaps as a way to set an example for other Democratic members. 

Following Friday’s break in at the Pelosi residence, the Department of Justice filed federal attempted kidnapping and assault charges Monday. 

In an interview with the feds, the suspect — who reportedly posted right-wing conspiracy theories and antisemitic screeds in blogs online — said he wanted to break Nancy Pelosi’s knees in the attack. 

He claimed he was going to take Nancy Pelosi hostage, and that if she spoke the truth, he would release her. He threatened to break her kneecaps if she “lied.” The criminal complaint

He said that he wanted her to break her kneecaps, so she would need to be wheeled into Congress. This would show Congressmen there are consequences for their actions. 

According to federal documents, the suspect claimed that he considered Nancy Pelosi the “leader of all the pack” in Congress. 

In the end, the suspect only found Paul Pelosi at his home. After Paul Pelosi called 911 to report that there was a suspect in his house, the suspect attacked Paul Pelosi using a hammer. 

According to police, Paul Pelosi suffered blunt force trauma to the head and body. He was admitted to the hospital for surgery on Friday. He is expected to make a complete recovery.
