The England international is in fantastic form going into this evening’s match, scoring four goals in his last three games.

Tonight, the top two sides of Group A will face off. Both teams are unbeaten in their first three games and separated by only two points.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side have won all three games in their first season back in Europe after missing out last season, having beaten Zurich in the opening game and beaten Bodo/Glimt home and away.

PSV, which will host Arsenal next Thursday at the Philips Stadion, drew their first fixture against the Norwegian champions, but managed to win twice against Zurich.

Both teams are having successful starts to domestic seasons. Arsenal is currently leading the Premier League, winning nine of the 10 league games and 13 of the 14 in all competitions.

The Gunners are currently four points clear at top, thanks to recent losses for Tottenham and Manchester City.

PSV is currently managed by Ruud van Niestelrooy (ex-Manchester United striker) and trail Ajax by one point.

The Dutch side travels to London having won four games, scoring at least five goals each in three of them.

They last met in 16 matches of the 2006-07 Champions League season. The Dutch side won 2-1 aggregate. Alex, an ex-Chelsea centre back, sent them through.
