On Saturday, former President Barack Obama mocked Pennsylvania GOP Senate Candidat Dr. Mehmet O for his past health advices and accused him of selling “snake oils.”
Obama was in Pittsburgh to campaign for Oz’s Democratic opponent. John Fetterman and Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania Attorney General. Oz, a former president, criticized Oz’s past as a TV host and celebrity doctor who promoted medical claims that were not supported by science. He claimed he has “answers”, but they are the wrong ones.
Do you want to lose weight? Try raspberry ketones. Got leg cramps? Try lavender soap. Do you want to prevent dementia? Palm oil! Obama declared, seemingly unable to contain his laughter. It doesn’t matter that some of these methods have not been proven to work. In other cases, they might prove to be dangerous. It’s up to you to believe in yourself and then give your credit card information.
He said that Oz’s “quack medicines” were easy to make fun of, but they did say something about the doctor’s character.
Obama stated, “If someone is willing to trade snake oil in order to make a profit, then he’s likely to sell snake oil in order to get elected.”

Other unsubstantiated claims.
Oz — who is More than $100 million — and his show raked in millions from companies whose products he promoted, the Associated Press reported.
“I like Mehmet Oz but we did a lot bull – – – –  when I worked there,” Dr. Gregory Katz told AP. He was a cardiologist who worked with Oz on Oz’s show.
Oz’s campaign provided an AP statement saying that it was very careful about disclosing paid partnerships. Oz expressed pride in Oz’s ability to “help so many people” by providing more transparency on health and wellness.
Obama was campaigning for Fetterman — whose speech has been impacted by a stroke he had in May — ahead of the election on Tuesday. This race, which is closely monitored by the media, could decide whether Republicans or Democrats gain control of Senate.
