“Black Adam” is a new movie about a DC Extended Universe superhero. It’s a Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema film. The film is available for rent or purchase now through services such as Amazon. It’s expected that it will hit theaters in the next few months. HBO MaxIn the coming months.
“Black Adam” is the story about Teth-Adam (Dwayne) who turns from mortal to god. Teth, who has used his powers to exact revenge, is imprisoned and transformed into Black Adam. Black Adam, nearly 5,000 years after his release, is now free and ready to deliver his version of justice around the world.

Dwayne Johnson plays Black Adam. Aldis Johnson (“City on a Hill”) is joined by Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys My Father Loved Before”), Sarah Shahi (“The L Word”) and Quintessa Swell (“Voyagers”); Mo Amer (“Ramy”) Pierce Brosnan (“GoldenEye”), Bodhi Sabongui (“(A Million Little Things”)).
Jaume Collett-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”) directs “Black Adam”. It was written by Adam Sztykiel (“Due Date”) and Rory Haines (and Sohrab Noshirvani). Dwayne Johnson is one of the producers along with Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia.
How to watch “Black Adam”
Black Adam is now available for home viewing through digital retailers such as Amazon, Vudu and Apple TV. You can rent the movie for $20, or purchase it for $25 in up to 4K resolution.
You can stream “Black Adam” whenever you want, provided you have the purchase. Renting the film will give you 30 days to view it, and 48 hours to finish it after hitting play.
When will “Black Adam”, the HBO Max series, be available?
Although “Black Adam” has not yet been released on streaming, it is expected to be available on HBO Max in the latter part of this year. Warner Bros. may add new movies to HBO Max up to 45 days after their premieres in theaters. This means that subscribers could start streaming the film as soon as December 5.
The 45-day policy is applied on a case by case basis. This means that the studio may decide to leave the movie in theaters for longer. After its theatrical premiere, “Elvis,” a Warner Bros. movie, took 70 days to reach HBO Max. If “Black Adam,” follows a similar release strategy it won’t arrive at HBO Max until December 30.
HBO Max is $10 per month with ads, or $15 per month without ads. You can also get discounted annual plans for $70 (without ads) or $105 with ads. You can save 40% by paying upfront for an entire year instead of 12 months.
Is it worth watching ‘Black Adam?
Critics have given mixed to negative reviews of “Black Adam”. On November 23, the film had a “39% rating”. Rotten Tomatoes. While many critics criticized the film for its generic storyline, others praised the action and Dwayne Johnson’s charisma.
It’s worth checking out for DC Extended Universe fans, as there is a chance that the character might appear in future DC movies.
Is “Black Adam” a hero, or a villain?
Although “Black Adam” has been traditionally depicted in the negative, he can also be seen as a hero. The character first appeared as a villain in the 1945 comic “The Marvel Family #1”. He later became a recurring antagonist of the “Captain Marvel” series.
Is ‘Black Adam” part the DC Extended Universe.
“Black Adam”, part of the DC Extended Universe, is a collection of connected movies. Dwayne, the actor and producer behind “Shazam 2,” told Variety that the character will not feature in the film. However, he is optimistic about a crossover, depending on how well the film does with fans.
A few characters from DCEU movies also appear in “Black Adam,” such as Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller character, which she first played in 2016’s “Suicide Squad.”
