THE TAKEAWAY

North Carolina State: Although the Wolfpack has many talented players, they got rattled just before halftime which allowed Clemson to score two touchdowns. NC State now must cross its fingers for the Tigers to lose twice in their last five ACC games.

Clemson: While the Tigers didn’t score as many points in the first four games of the season, they still made enough plays to be the ACC’s top player.

BRESEE OUT

Bryan Bresee, the starting defensive tackle, missed his second game in three. He was suffering from a nonfootball medical condition which Clemson stated required blood tests and observation. Bresee and his loved ones are still in mourning Ella Bresee (15 years old) who was diagnosed with brain cancer and died last month. Ella was an inspiration to Bresee’s brother’s team through the expression, “Ella Strong.” Clemson stated that Bryan Bresee had good news this week about his tests and that his condition won’t have any long-term consequences.
