Nintendo lowers Switch sales projections, but still anticipates a healthy 2011.

Nintendo announced that it will be launching a solid quarterThe earnings were at 349.5 million dollars ($2.38 billion) and 118.7 millions yen ($809.6million) respectively. This is largely due to the weakening yen, increased sales outside Japan, and the launch Splatoon 3.

Although the company is less bullish about Switch console sales, it has reduced its forecast for 2022 from 21 million to 19 millions. Nintendo claimed that the supply of semiconductors has improved over time, and that the Switch’s hardware manufacturing industry is showing a “recovery trend.” The forecast was lowered based on sales, while the weak yen made up the difference in profit and revenue. 

It explained what this could mean for Switch buyers who are looking to buy one for the holidays. We will deliver as many consoles to as consumers as possible by front-loading production and choosing the most appropriate transport methods for the holiday season.
