Neue Jersey Democrat Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. claimed that Friday morning’s attack upon Paul Pelosi, the husband, of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, are “direct products of Big Lies by many Republicans.”
“I condemn the attempted assassination of Paul Pelosi, and I pray for the peace and well-being of the Family PelosiHis recovery. This is not the time to be timid. Let’s be direct. Today’s violence seems to be the direct product of Big Lies from many Republicans and Republican propaganda organs about Democrats and American democracy,” Pascrell, Jr. said in a statement.
Pascrell Jr. said that the attack should never have occurred.
“This attempted assassination was a mistake. This guy has a background that shows he’s been moved, instigated, and influenced by those people who seek to divide us. On any given night or day, turn on rightwing media. There will be frothing hosts screaming out unfounded conspiracy theories and lies about women, religious, ethnic minorities and young people. It’s not surprising that some are motivated to perpetrate unspeakable violence against their perceived adversaries. Terrorism is on the rise and poses a threat to every American community.

“I’m calling it what it is. Smith tweeted Friday afternoon that radicalization and extremist violence are the direct result people like @RepMikeGarcia. Mike, you owe Mr. Pelosi an apology. People of this country deserve more than your degenerate politics.
William Scott, San Francisco Police Chief, said that David DePape (42) now faces charges for attempted homicide with a deadly weapon assault, elder abuse and burglary.

San Francisco According to Scott Scott, police responded to Pelosi’s residence to conduct a wellness check. They found DePape, Paul Pelosi, and a hammer in their hands. Scott claims that DePape then took the hammer from Pelosi, and then violently assaulted him.

A law enforcement source said that the suspect shouted “Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?”
DePape was taken into police custody after being tackled by officers. Police officers are investigating a possible motive.
