Nets’ Kyrie Irving posts response to backlash after sharing film with ‘anti-semitic disinformation’

Brooklyn Nets All-Star Kyrie IrvineHe has responded to being accused of sharing on social media a film that contained antisemitic material. 

Irving was rebuffed by Joe Tsai, owner of the Nets. seven-time All-StarA message was posted to Twitter by the author claiming that he meant no disrespect.

“I am an OMNIST and I meant no disrespect to anyone’s religious beliefs,” Irving posted to Twitter. “The ‘Anti-Semitic’ label that is being pushed on me is not justified and does not reflect the reality or truth I live in everyday. I accept and want to learn from all walks and religions.

KYRIE IRRIVING PROMOTES ANTISEMITIC TWITTER FILM

Merriam-Webster defines an omnist as someone who believes in all religions.

According to reports, the movie is based on a 2015 book that contains antisemitic material written by radical Black Hebrew Israelites.

Tsai condemned Irving’s apparent promotion of the film Friday.

“I’m disappointed that Kyrie appears to support a film based on a book full of anti-semitic disinformation,” Tsai spoke on Twitter. “I want to make sure that he understands that hate based upon race, ethnicity, or religion is not something that is right for us all.
