Neil Patrick Harris slammed online over resurfaced Nick Jonas remark: ‘How do celebs get away with’ this?

Neil Patrick Harris is the subject of online backlash after he posted comments about his wife. Nick JonasDuring a 2015 appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

The interview was republished and the actor, now 49 years old, admitted to having a crush on the singer, now 30. 

“And he was really good-looking before it was kind of allowed to think he was good-looking, which was a bit of a problem, you kind of had to wait till he turned to be, you know, 19 to 20, and then you’re like, ‘What is happening?’” added Harris. 

Harris made the comments during the “Hot Seat” segment of the show, after Williams asked Harris about his celebrity crush (other than his husband David Burtka).

“David knows it, so I guess it’s not a bad thing to say…Nick Jonas,” Harris responded.

Harris, who was then 23 years old, performed “Jealous” on Williams’ talk show. “Doogie Howser,” M.D. The actor was 42.  

Fox News Digital asked Harris for comments but Harris representatives did not respond immediately.

Jonas was 12 years old when he formed the boy group with his brothers Kevin, Joe and Joe. The Jonas BrothersIn 2005. They gained initial popularity through their appearances at Disney Channel. Their fame skyrocketed after the release of their self-titled second album in 2007.

Harris’ remarks were criticised online when the clip was recently uploaded to TikTok. It included the caption: “How can celebs get by with comments like these?” Here he was 42.

One user on social media wrote that “This is totally inappropriate.” Another added, “Neil is always doing something problem.”

One critic said, “I love his characters, but him as an individual… yikes.”

“That’s disgusting,” another commented with a nauseated smiley face emoji.

“Sometimes certain things shouldn’t be said out loud,” one user wrote while another noted, “Bro tried to save it with the ‘19 to 20’”.

Some critics disagreed with Harris’ comments. 

One user wrote that “not the people laughing” and added an emoticon with a grimacing smiley-face emoji.

“Jesus. The 2nd awkward laughter from the crowd. The crowd eventually agreed to hang on for a while,” another participant added.

Harris’s fans rallied behind him, one user writing that Harris could not have gotten away with it. “Simply saying that this is not a criminal offense”

“There is nothing wrong about this comment,” another fan stated.

Harris was not the first to be called out in this manner by his fans. After being accused of stealing Emmy Awards, Harris apologized. Morbid joke he madeThe news about Amy Winehouse’s passing has been resurfaced.

Harris and Burtka displayed “The Corpse of Amy Winehouse”, a buffet platter, at their Halloween party a few months after Burtka’s 2011 death.

Harris stated that Harris had recently seen a photo taken at a Halloween-themed party he and I hosted eleven years ago. Entertainment Weekly also released a statement. It was regrettable back then and still regrettable today. Amy Winehouse was an extraordinary talent and I am sorry for the pain this image has caused.
