Musk wants a’reasonable exchange of ideas’ back on Twitter

Joe Rogan thanked Elon Musk for trying to bring back a “reasonable interchange of ideas” to Twitter after the billionaire became the The new owner of social media networkOn Thursday.

His latest episode of Joe Rogan ExperienceHe talks with Bridget Phetasy (comedian and writer) about Musk’s $44Billion deal.

Phetasy stated that Elon took control of Twitter today, as if we were living in a simulation. “That crazy bastard did it,” she added,  calling his stunt of walking into Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters with a sink a “dad joke.” 

Rogan stated it was crucial that Musk restore “reasonable exchanges of ideas” on Twitter. This is notable from someone who is “that wealth” and has been “left-leaning for most of his adult life. 

He stated that he believes there is a problem with Twitter’s discourse. “Some people would prefer to silence opposing viewpoints. Then you get all the positive feedback from those who agree with you.”

The podcast host stated that there were many people who should be allowed to return to Twitter, including Megan Murphy, who was banned from Twitter for misgendering trans women and deadnaming them.

Musk has declared himself to be a “free-speech absolutist” and stated that he would repeal life bans. Musk tweeted that he was creating a content moderation council for Twitter the day after the acquisition.
