More Than 100,000 Russian Soldiers Killed, Gen. Mark Milley Said

Gen. Mark Milley stated that more than 100,000 Russian soldiers had been “killed” and “wounded” since Russia invaded Ukraine in Feb.

Milley was scheduled to speak for The Economic Club of New York (wednesday) The top US general gave one of the most accurate estimates of military casualties since the start of the invasion during the program.

“You are looking at well over 100,000 Russian soldiers who have been killed or wounded.” According to Reuters Milley claimed that. “Almost the same thing likely on the Ukrainian side. There is a lot of human suffering.”

It’s not known where he received these numbers. Reuters and Insider didn’t independently verify his numbers.

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces sent in Monday a Facebook postAbout 77,170 Russian troops were killed in the conflict. This number does not include soldiers who were wounded.

In the midst of increasing death tolls Sergei Shoigu, Russian Defense Ministry, declared Wednesday an Order for the Russian forces in Kherson, to withdraw across the Dneiper River.

Gen. Sergei Surovikin said in televised remarks alongside Shoigu that the “difficult decision” was made in order to “preserve the most important thing — the lives of our servicemen and, in general, the combat effectiveness of the group of troops.”

Milley estimated Wednesday that approximately 40,000 civilians in Ukraine were killed by the war.
