He won the curling championship six minutes later

That gives him the new record in Europe’s top tier, taken off of former Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who scored an eight-minute hat-trick against Dinamo Zagreb in a 7-1 win in 2011.

Raheem, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raheem sterling all achieved 11 minute hat tricks in the competition. However, it was not as fast as Salah.

After a disappointing start to the season with four goals in eleven games, Salah was surprised to be dropped to the bench. However, he quickly made amends.

The no.11 did it in spectacular style. With his first attempt a stunning dribble and finish, he bagged his first, and then later, his trademark curling left foot effort secured the hattrick.

Before Salah’s quickfire treble, Roberto Firmino levelled the scores seven minutes after Scott Arfield gave Rangers a shock lead.

Firmino struck again in the second-half before setting up Darwin Nunez at 66 minutes.
