Mohamed Salah made just FOUR passes, and missed a sitter as Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest

For Liverpool and Mohamed Salah, it was an unforgettable afternoon against Nottingham Forest.

The Egyptian star played the full 90 minutes in the Reds’ 1-0 defeat at the City Ground as former Red Taiwo Aloniyi scored decisive goals for the hostsThey will be lifted off the bottom of Premier League.

The Egpytian star was not only a missed opportunity, but also failed to make an impact in open play.

For Salah, it was certainly a day that didn’t go to plan as he struggled to get to grips with the game.

Liverpool led play and held 76% of the possession. The Egyptian however only completed FOUR successful passes.

Salah also had a chance to get Jurgen Klopp’s side on the scoreboard when he found himself unmarked at the back post from a James Milner free-kick, only to completely miss the ball as he attempted to volley in.

With that miss coming after Virgil van Dijk missed a header from mere yards out, it was simply a day that didn’t go Liverpool’s way.

The Reds were punished ten minutes into the second-half when former Merseysider Awoniyi fired home, much to the enjoyment of Steve Cooper’s side who will take real confidence from claiming such a notable scalp.

Liverpool will focus on winning when they travel to Ajax in Wednesday’s Champions League.
