Taylor Swift has shared an early glimpse at the music videos she will be using for her 10th album Midnights after much waiting. According to reports, the teaser was revealed during Thursday Night Football. Variety.
Swift addressed her fans prior to the teaser. She said, “I just wanted to, first of all, say thank you so much to Amazon for giving me an opportunity to show you guys a first-look teaser trailer of the secret projects that I’ve been working on for a really long time.
“Those projects are the ‘Midnights’ music movies, the music videos that I’ve made for this album to sort of explore visually the world of this record. I love storytelling, songwriting, writing videos and directing them. And this was a really fun opportunity to work again with the cinematographer Rina Yang, who was my collaborator on the ‘All Too Well’ 10-minute short film. So we really wanted to challenge ourselves to do different things this time around and stretch, and I’m really proud of what we made and I really hope you like them. We worked with some amazing actors, which you’ll find out more about at the end of the teaser trailer.”

The videos include stars such as Este Haim, Danielle Haim or Jack Antonoff of Haim; Laith Ash; Mike Birbiglia; Oscar nominee Laura Dern; John Early and Mary Elizabeth Ellis; Pat McGrath as well as Dita von Teese. Swift, too, had donned varied colour attires, which ranged from a ’20s-inspired flapper dress to a sparkling cape to a Marie Antoinette-esque outfit.
Soon after the teaser, she announced that Anti-Hero will be her first music video launch. The premiere will take place on October 21st at 8 a.m. ET. Swift and Antonoff co-wrote the song, which is currently at third place on Swift’s album.
For the past month, Swift has been hinting at the song titles of her album, which she said are “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.” Some fans even discovered that she teased a segment of the lyrics while delivering a speech at NYU. Five months ago, she had mention during her address, “We will breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, breathe out,” before joking, “And I am a doctor now, so I know how breathing works.”
It’s only now that her promotion on Spotify billboards reads: “Breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, breathe out.” She even revealed that the 4th title of her track, Snow on the Beach, will feature Lana Del Ray. Swift wrote on Instagram of the cameo: “QUITE the twist of an ending.”
Swift has yet to release a single track. The album will be released 21 October.
