Although the highly anticipated collaboration between Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey has finally been released, people still have much to say.
When Taylor Swift announced that she and Lana Del Rey had collaborated on “Snow on the Beach,” people were thrilled to hear them sing together. Taylor had previously described Lana as the “most influential artist in pop.” Taylor gave a sneak peak of the song, praising Lana and thanking them for performing on “Snow on the Beach”.

The song met all of our expectations and more. It is a moving song about falling in love.
Fans were shocked to discover that Lana only contributes backup vocals. This is similar to Taylor’s female collaborators Colbie Cillat, The Chicks or Maren Morris. Lana sings a total of 20 words.
Soon, Taylor’s fans created thousands of hilarious memes about this whole incident. Taylor has not explained why Lana provides only background vocals on Snow on the Beach. It is possible that Taylor was influenced by Lana’s ghost-like singing, which echos Taylor’s words and gives the song a spooky, dreamlike feeling. However, it hasn’t stopped people from making fun of it.
