Meadows Texts Evidence of Plot to Reverse Election

  • The investigation was discussed with “60 Minutes” by a former technical advisor to the January 6 committee.

Former technical advisor to the January 6 Committee said that text messages from White House Chief Staff Mark Meadows provide “irrefutable evidence” of a plot for the 2020 election.

Denver RigglemanThe comment was made by a former Republican congressman during an interview. CBS News’ 60 MinutesSunday. He stated that Meadows’ texts provided a “roadmap” to show how Trump’s former allies were trying to reverse the election.

He stated, “It actually showed the evolution from the beginning arguments of alternate electors all through rally planning all the the way to day-of.”

Bill Whitaker asked Riggleman if he believed that Meadows’ texts provided “indisputable, time-stamped support of a comprehensive plot to overturn the election at all levels of government.”

Riggleman answered affirmatively: “Irrefutable. In the text messages, they were discussing alternate electors. I believe that was as early as November 5th, or November 6th.

 

Whitaker continued to take note of the numerous text messages Meadows received after the election. He also included one from Donald Trump Jr., which he explained. alternate electors planThis would enable his father to win the January 6th congressional election.

Meadows was Trump’s chief staff officer from 2020-2021. He was also receiving text messages from MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene about how to deal with the “stolen election”. “The Meadows text messages reveal an administration that was totally eaten up by a digital virus called QAnon. There are conspiracy theories as well: an apocalyptic and messianic buffoonery. Riggleman explained that the text messages can be viewed as a roadmap, but they also provide a glimpse into today’s Republican Party psyche.

Riggleman acknowledged that Meadows may not have turned over all his relevant texts, but said that “what we got” was very valuable.

Insider reached Meadows’ lawyer but he did not respond immediately to our request for comment.
