Friends actor Matthew Perry is again in the limelight but this time it’s because of his newly launched memoir Friends, Lover, and The Big Terrible Thing. Although his fans are happy to see him back in action, the actor has been criticised on social media for sharing an anecdote regarding Salma Hayek, his co-star.
The incident occurred on the Fools Rush In set.

Speaking about the days they were shooting, he said, “Salma had tried her best, too — she came into my trailer at the start of the shoot and said, ‘Let’s just spoon a little bit.”
He added, “I did my best Chandler impression — the double-take-and-sardonic-stare thing — and said, ‘Oh, OK! Let’s just spoon a little bit!’”
Furthermore, Perry explained, “There’s one scene in which I’m professing my love for her. She suggested that we don’t look at each other — rather, we should look out at our future together. After listening to this nonsense for about twenty minutes, I finally said: ‘Listen, Salma,’ I said, ‘I’m telling you I love you in this scene. You look wherever you want, but I’m going to be looking at you.’”
Soon after the incident was posted online, netizens attacked him because he “misbehaved” with her.
“Is Kanye West Syndrome spreading faster than COVID lately? This dude got it FAST!,” one user commented.

Matthew Perry is an obnoxious man without any talent whatsoever, who just happened to star in a show that’s not remotely funny, yet somehow gained popularity.

These little snippets make me believe he is a whiny toddler who’s ruining my enjoyment of movies by calling out people. He didn’t have anything to say. I won’t be buying the book.

It’s hard to believe how much I didn’t like him when I hear this much about him. He is always looking for people who are better than him in his life.
