“Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin addressed the Republicans’ underwhelming performance in The midterm elections last weekIn Sunday’s opening monologue, he explained to viewers that expected GOP gains were “mathematically unimaginable” and that there was no “red wave”, despite predictions and polling.
“I was surprised to find that many of those who wrongly predicted a red-wave are now saying what to think about non-red waves. Experts, consultants, ruling class, media, politicians. The host suggested that we should think for ourselves and let go of the static. I stated this before the election and repeated it here and on the radio: Forget the red tsunami. Forget about the Red Tsunami. Forget Armageddon. Get out and vote.
Republicans were required to defend 20 of 34 seats in the Senate. According to the host, Republicans would have to “tap into the” 14 Democrat-held seats in order for them win the majority.

“That was a difficult hill to climb. He said that this was one reason I didn’t jump on the red-wave bandwagon too quickly. “I needed time to think about it. 2024. This is the key. 33 seats will be available for the next election cycle. Listen carefully. Two-thirds are Democrat seats. Therefore, the Democrats need to defend 23 Senate seat. The Republicans must defend only ten.

He said, “So,” adding that the math of 2022 did not lead to a red-wave possibility. However, the math of 2024 does lead us to one. Does this mean that there will be one? It doesn’t. But I am just explaining the math. We had 60% of the seats available. They will have nearly 70% of the seats in the next round. So what does this all mean? To prevent a disaster in 2024, Democrats had to make some significant gains in the Senate. They were not successful.”
Levin suggested that the Six Senate seats would be flipped by the GOP“It was never going to happen.”
He argued that it was mathematically impossible.
Despite the fact that the GOP was “short” in the House, it is very likely that the Republicans will take the House. [though]Levin explained that this is because the total number of people affected was much lower.

“They’ll Designate the speaker. They’ll be in control of the committees. You see, the red wave was talked about by pollsters, consultants and D.C. commentators in the run-up to the election as though it had already happened. He said that the basis they used was inaccurate and flawed.
Levin believes that Republicans are more likely to pull off a “red wave” in 2024 than the Republicans were last week during the midterms.
“In 2024, [Democrats are]In a terrible situation, two-thirds (or more) of the Senate seats up are Democrat seats. [now]They may have lost the House by just a few votes but it is still a victory. The GOP can now block Biden’s radical kook programs. They can also conduct investigations. They can do the job they need and do it better than anyone else. Is this enough? He continued, “No, it’s just not good enough.”
Levin said, “If Republicans permit the same D.C. establishment (many of whom you see every day on TV, telling you how smart you are and that they know everything), if they let them control the agenda, and the money then the future is bleak.”
