Luis Diaz will be out until after the World Cup while Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool boss, is working on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s fitness.
Jurgen Klopp’s side come from behind twice against Arsenal but still lost the game as Bukayo Saka scored a late penalty to Grab a 3-2 win.
It was a poor start to the season for the Reds, who won just two of their first eight games.
Both Diaz and the Colombian left winger are out for the next two months. Liverpool ECHO reports.
Diaz was substituted in the event of the injury to the knee and was seen walking on crutches as he left the Emirates Stadium.
But, the 26-yearold will not have to have surgery on his knee.
Alexander-Arnold will be spending time at the treatment table as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained in a collision between Gabriel Martinelli, Gunners forward, and Alexander-Arnold.
It’s not clear how long Alexander-Arnold will be out for, however, LiverpoolKlopp made a positive assessment of Klopp’s injury.
Klopp told his post-match press conference: “Trent is bad as well with the ankle.
“[He]He twisted his ankle. Not good. Trent has not, in seven-years, gone off, even if it was possible to continue. He was in too much pain, it started swelling immediately, so we will have to see.”
Liverpool currently lead league leaders Arsenal by 14 points. Man City is the reigning champion at Anfield on Sunday.
