Luhansk is difficult to retake as many fleeing Russians, Gov. These are the words

  • In a quick counteroffensive, Ukraine retook most of Kharkiv and sent the Russians retreat.
  • The governor of the Luhansk region was adamant that many of the people who fled were reintegrated.
  • He said that this had slowed down progress, and the territory was now almost entirely in Russian hands.

According to its governor, the Russian troops who have fled Luhansk in Ukraine made it slower than other regions.

Haidai Sriy, Luhansk Governor, stated on Telegram Wednesday morning, “Many Ukrainians expected that the de-occupation in Luhansk Region will be as fast as that in Kharkiv Region.”

Serhiy stated that it was impossible to make such progress in Luhansk, partly due to the fact that many Russians fled Kharkiv were able act as reinforcements.

Serhiy said last monthRussian troops, who were able to withstand the Ukrainian retaking the city Lyman in Donetsk had also reached Luhansk.

On Wednesday, he said that Ukraine’s advancements had been slowed down in Luhansk because Russia recently invested a lot of money into the region.

Serhiy said “freshly mobilized Russians, prisoners, and a lot of equipment and air defense have arrived in Luhansk region.”

Russian-backed separatists established what they called the Luhansk People’s Republic, declaring their independence from the rest Ukraine in 2014. However, the Ukrainian government and most of the rest of world did not recognize the move.

They created their own proRussian government officials while Ukraine retained its own leaders.

Russia officially recognized the territories as independent in February. This was part of President Vladimir Putin’s attempts to justify an invasion of Ukraine. Russia tried to make the land a part of Russia with the referendum.

The vote and other votes were widely dismissed by the public as a fraud, with soldiers People were threatened with shooting their families if they refused to vote..

The US, EU and NATO declared the results illegal, while NATO nations overwhelmingly rejected the annexations.
