Residents in North London can take their dogs to a three-course Christmas dinner this weekend. Santa Claus, the great man, will join them.
Special edition of Doggy Sunday will be held at Gaucho, Hampstead’s steakhouse. This area will become a vacation haven for you, your dog and your pet companions on December 4.

Every month, Gaucho holds a Doggy Sunday, but this Sunday’s event has a special holiday feel. The patio of the Hampstead restaurant will be transformed into Santa’s grotto by the restaurant’s extensive holiday decor.
Between 12 and 3 p.m., Father Christmas himself will pay a visit, and it’s not only for customers to take pictures. Every dog will receive a gift, a photo with Santa and some holiday decoration ideas.
You and your dog may dine on the three-course A La Bark menu at the well-known restaurant for a hefty £60. For humans, the menu includes steak tartare, empanadas and burrata as well as steak, mac and cheese, chips and salad. Dessert will include sticky apple and date pudding.
On the dogs’ menu, it’s a special pizza slice to start, a turkey or lamb gourmet doggy bowl for main and a peony pupcake for dessert. Gaucho Hampstead currently boasts a 4-star rating Tripadvisor as guests say it’s “exceptional in every way”.
One diner wrote: “Had an amazing experience here. The steak was was cooked to perfection.” And another put: “From the minute you walk in you feel very welcome like a family by absolutely everyone. We’ve attended with our little dog today and our waitress Victoria was outstanding. Recommended one of the best red wines I’ve ever had And an amazing desert. Perfectly cooked, the steak was the best of all Gauchos. Had the best Bday celebration for our little dog.”
