Liverpool attacker Luis DiazUntil after the ceremony, they will remain sidelined World Cup by the knee injury he suffered in Sunday’s Premier League defeat by Arsenal.
The Colombia international underwent a scan on Monday which revealed that he’s facing around six to eight weeks on the sidelines.
That means he will miss Liverpool’s next 10 games before the tournament starts in Qatar next month.
It is not necessary to perform surgery on the knee injury.
He is expected to be fit for action when the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day.
It’s a major blow to manager Jurgen Klopp with Diaz arguably Liverpool’s most consistent performer during a disappointing start to the season.
