The Detroit Lions are within the NFC Championship recreation for the primary time since 1991. And so they’re an underdog by a landing on the San Francisco 49ers subsequent Sunday.
Kickoff for the the NFC Championship recreation is scheduled for six:30 p.m. ET from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and the sport will air on FOX.

The entire opened at 51.5 factors. San Francisco completed third in factors per recreation within the NFL whereas Detroit completed fifth. The large distinction is that the 49ers’ protection completed third in factors per recreation allowed whereas the Lions completed twenty third within the common season.
Jared Goff led the Lions to a 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Subject to win their second-straight playoff recreation. He threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns within the win, whereas Jahmyr Gibbs led the speeding offense with 74 yards and a landing.
San Francisco struggled and wanted a come-from-behind win to advance to the NFC Championship recreation with a 24-21 victory. The 49ers outscored the Packers 10-0 within the fourth quarter Saturday evening, which was capped off with a Christian McCaffrey 6-yard landing run with beneath two minutes remaining. Brock Purdy struggled within the wet climate, going 23-for-39 for 252 yards and a landing. The important thing distinction being he didn’t thrown an interception whereas Jordan Love threw two — together with one on a possible game-tying drive within the last minute of regulation.
49ers star huge receiver Deebo Samuel left Saturday’s recreation with a shoulder damage within the first half and didn’t return. His standing for the NFC Championship recreation shall be monitored all week.
The 49ers and Lions didn’t play through the 2023 common season. They ended the season with the identical 12-5 data.
