Ronna McDaniel of the Republican National Committee said it was unfair to suggest GOP messaging contributed to the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband in San Francisco last week.

McDaniel refuted any claims that GOP messaging provoked violence or was problematic, and instead spun the story to criticize Democrats.
“You cannot say that people are saying “Let’s fire Pelosi” or “Let’s take over the House”. That’s saying, “Go do violence.” It’s simply unfair. “I think that we all need to realize that violence has increased across the board,” she stated. “But, I think it’s important to remember that if this were not Paul Pelosi, this criminal might be on the streets tomorrow.”

This is what Democrat policy are bringing,” she stated, referring to an attackearlier in the year against the New York GOP governornatorial nominee. “But of course, we wish Paul Pelosi recovery. This is not what we like across the board.
Paul Pelosi was attacked in his San Francisco home by an intruder on Friday. He demanded the location of the speaker and was not present at the address at the time.
Republicans have long used the speaker as a political foil, particularly in this election cycle when they are trying to regain a House majority.
