Surprising reports claim that Kylian Maappe could move to Liverpool in January, or during the summer transfer window.
The France superstar allegedly wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain imminently, and the door has been opened for him to join Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Mbappe is ready to depart PSG with the relationship between player and his club ‘completely broken’.
French outlet RMC have already reported this, but Marca furthered the story by suggesting Mbappe feels he was ‘betrayed’ by PSG over the terms over his new contract and after talks broke down over his move to Real Madrid.
It’s no secret the 23-year-old dreams of playing for the Spanish giants, but Marca claim that will not happen while he is still a PSG player, who will not sell their prized asset to Los Blancos.
That, according to reports, leaves Liverpool as the ‘only feasible option’ for the World Cup winner.
PSG has been in contact with the Reds regarding a possible deal to acquire Mbappe., with the star even revealing he held talks with the Premier League club before signing his new contract with PSG in May, but now it appears the ‘Mbappe 2023’ campaign may well begin.

Marca claim ‘there is no turning back’ for Mbappe and PSG and the club has agreed to ‘collaborate’ with the player to fashion his exit, but with certain conditions – the main one being that he will not leave to sign for Real Madrid.
The reason for this is the ongoing feud between Qatari president of PSG Nasser Al Khelaifi and Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez, who clashed over Real’s previous approach for Mbappe and are also at loggerheads over the prospective European Super League plans.
As for the ‘betrayal’, it appears Mbappe feels PSG made him promises they have failed to keep with he signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions back in May of this year.
French newspaper L’Equipe claim PSG made a series of ‘unfeasible’ vows to Mbappe to convince him to put pen to paper, and that he in fact only signed until 2024 and not 2025 as initially claimed – with Mbappe agreeing to pose with a shirt that read, ‘Mbappe 2025’, as a ‘sign of gratitude’ to his hometown club.
He seems to have lost his feeling and is eager to push for an exit.
Mbappe scored in the PSG’s final match 1-1 draw with BenficaLuis Campos discredited any claims that the World Cup champion was unhappy during the Champions League and the previous one.
“I’m very surprised because I’m with Kylian Mbappe every day and he never asked me, and I just asked the president, he never asked to leave in January.
“I don’t think that he thinks about it because if he thinks about it, he’s going to tell me. He didn’t tell me and I don’t know if he ever told the president that he wanted to go in January.
“It is information, it’s not a statement, you have to be very clear, which comes out a few hours before a very, very important match for us.”
Moves to Anfield and Bernabeu remain possible.Mbappe, however, has nothing but positive things to say about Liverpool in recent years since being associated with the club.

“I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum,” Mbappe said earlier this year.
“My mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why, you will have to ask her.
“It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. They were there when I was in Monaco. It’s a big club.”
Speaking back in 2020, Mabppe said about Klopp’s side: “This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. Although they make winning seem easy, the truth is that it’s never easy.
“Performances like they have been having don’t just happen. To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager.”
