KS cops that shot, killed and injured a man at the father’s house will not face charges

Three Lawrence officers who shot and killed an October man will not be charged because they were legally justified. Douglas County District Attorney Suzanne Valdez announced Thursday.

According to a report by a police spokesperson, Michael Scott Blanck, 43 was shot and killed at his father’s home on October 2nd after pointing a gun at them. Report by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Officers responded to a call about Blanck breaking a window at his father’s residence. According to Valdez, Blanck was being held under bond from two criminal cases. He wanted to be away from his family.
