Kourtney has clarified her stance after she was criticized for restricting fast food to her children, including french fries. Kourtney Kardashian stated that her family loves fries, and that they can be enjoyed at home as well as at restaurants that offer them.
The reality star, who has three kids—Mason, Penelope, and Reign—with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, now acknowledged that she does allow her kids to eat french fries after previously claiming otherwise.
Kourtney said earlier this week she restricted Mason’s intake of french fries for her 12-year old son. Fans criticized her harshly on social media, with some even labeling her behavior as ‘dangerous’.
In a recent however, Interview with US Vogue, she said, “We make French fries at home… We’re a french fry-loving family, to clear that up. We love french fries so we only eat at places that offer fries. I love to avoid fast food when we can.”
Reports that she had banned her children from eating french fries were denied by the reality star. She also called them “annoying.”
Kardashian also spoke in another segment of the US Vogue interview and discussed the criticism she received after accepting the role as “sustainability advocate” at fast-fashion retailer Boohoo.
She confessed that she reached out to Stephanie Shepherd (co-founder of Future Earth), to inquire about environmental “concerns” surrounding fast fashion.
“I came with a whole long email and I said, ‘Some of these questions might seem offensive, I’m not meaning to seem that way, but I really want to know these things’. We definitely, definitely did that,” the reality star added.
