King Viserys has not just one but two perfect deaths in ‘House of the Dragon.

The brutal Game of ThronesYour character being killed off is almost a certainty in the universe. You can only hope that they leave in a memorable manner.

In House of the Dragon, We knew from the beginning that King Viserys, also known as Paddy Considine, was going to die.. He ended up We were all surprised at how long he lasted. He also won the jackpot by getting two perfect death scenes, for the price of 1.

Let’s find out exactly what happened and how King Viserys created two of the most memorable moments on the show so far.

King Viserys was almost dead before the time jump.

The first death scene of the king (which was not a death scene at all) occurred in episode 5. It consisted of his sudden collapse at his daughter’s nuptials. Also, a scene that appeared earlier in the episode in which Viserys spoke with Lord Lyonel Strong about his legacy.

Amazing to think that he survived for another 16 years.

It’s worth reliving their conversation, simply because it’s a beautifully written exchange that speaks volumes about Viserys struggle to be a ruler.

“Will Lyonel be remembered for being a good King?” What will my history tell them about me? I have never fought or conquered nor suffered any great loss.”

Viserys is currently being treated for an arm injury and appears to be very ill. Viserys survives for 16 more years. However, his questions seem like a man trying to accept his mortality.

The dialogue is moving in a subtle way, while also emphasising the weight he feels as king — Viserys wants to be a balanced ruler, and keep the peace, but he’s also concerned with legacy. He wants to make history.

The most heartbreaking moment on the show was King Viserys’s actual death.

After making a series of decisions that inadvertently threatened the entire realm — marrying for love, naming his daughter heir, all that — In episode 8, King Viserys finally intervened to try to settle the situation. He NearlyHe also managed it. He was able to climb into the throne room and protect his daughter. After that, he gave a passionate speech at dinner encouraging his family to stop hateful words.

Viserys, you gave it all.

Viserys lies in bed, still delirious from the milk of the poppy. His wandering eyes try to focus on the thing that has been his obsession for so many years, legacy. He wants to concentrate on the Song of Ice and Fire prophecy, or the whole Prince That Was Promised thing. Rhaenyra told Rhaenyra in episode 1. Viserys pretends he’s speaking to his daughter. In reality, however, he’s actually talking to Alicent. Inadvertently, he makes her believe he is naming their son Aegon the Conqueror by mentioning Aegon’s name.. It is the last, most tragic blow to a life filled with failures and trying to do the right thing.

But, the most poignant moment happens after she has left the room. Viserys, who is in pain, lifts his arms above the bed and says, “No more.” After the screen is blacked out, Viserys speaks his last words: “My love.”

Although I believed he was still speaking to Rhaenyra at the time, actor Paddy Considine’s Instagram farewell message to his character suggests that the words were meant for Viserys’ wife. Queen Aemma Arryn. Episode 1: She died in childbirth after Viserys made her choose between him and his unborn baby.

“I want you to love and show respect.” @brooke.sian [Queen Aemma Arryn]Considine wrote that she was only there for a few days but had a profound impact on my character through her performance and dedication to the job. “The effect stayed with me up to my final improvised words. She helped me find the missing piece and made my story complete.

Viserys takes her place from the moment she dies. It was a love story. That’s the secret I carried with me. He doesn’t demand any treatment, no matter how sick he is. He accepts his suffering and never forgives himself for torturing his wife in her final hours.
